Question

What is the OVI?

Answer

The higher the OVI value, the more visible you are on Google. So, the higher the value, the better.

The term Static OVI stands for "Static Online Value Index". The Static OVI is the decisive key figure for the visibility of a domain in Google's organic search results. It shows you whether your rankings have improved or deteriorated. The Static OVI also allows you to make a direct comparison with your competitors.

The Static OVI is formed by XOVI from 500,000 keywords. These keywords represent a good cross-section from various industries such as shopping, travel, finance, insurance, education and health. Of course, this database is regularly expanded to include a few trendy keywords.

To calculate the OVI, the rankings achieved are given a different weighting depending on the position in the SERPs and the monthly search volume.

In order not to falsify the temporal course, only keywords that have been and are retrieved by our crawlers since the beginning of the data collection of the respective Google countries are taken into account for the Static OVI. historical data can be viewed for Google Germany for up to 9 years back.

There is no optimal value, as the value always depends on the industry. An online store thatsellsthousands of products will generally always have more rankings than a lawyer from Cologne, for example, and will therefore also have a higher OVI. You should always save direct competitors in the project and then you can compare your own OVI value with that of your competitors and see how you compare to your direct competitors on Google.
