Question

Why are different items displayed in a self-conducted search than in the XOVI Suite?

Answer

In general, it is important to understand that XOVI does not display live positions. If you are in the keyword area, we have a database of 25 million keywords for google.de. 3 million of these are crawled weekly, 22 million monthly. So you may see a position there that could possibly be used for a new product. is already several weeks old. Of course, a lot may have happened at Google in the meantime.
For really up-to-date values, XOVI has a monitoring area in which you can determine yourself when you want to receive the positions. You can also make daily settings there, for example.

Nevertheless, discrepancies in the positions can occur there as well.
The reason for deviating and frequently fluctuating positions is that Google collects various information, such as the IP address, location, time, provider and much more.
If a search is carried out taking into account the information collected, a personalized search result is obtained.
To avoid this problem, the XOVI Suite uses different data centers, proxy and VPN settings for the queries and thus generates a neutral result.

Additional information

  • The incognito mode of a browser does not prevent the above-mentioned information from being collected, but only that the search history is not saved locally

  • The majority of all indexed websites are analyzed by Google Analytics, which allows Google to track the browsing behavior of an IP address.
